Aubrey "Shorty" Lee Morris

SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Aubrey Lee "Shorty" Morris, 86, will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. John Higginbotham will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m. Shorty was born in Shreveport on July 11, 1930 to Aubrey and Emma Lee Self and passed away from a lengthy illness on February 13, 2017. Shorty was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Self and Emma Lee Bickham Rathbun Self; her husband, Carlos Leon Morris. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary L. Morris and wife, Esther, and Carlos Dwayne Morris and wife, Mary; daughters, Charlotte Ann Phillips, and Sheri Lee Davis and husband, Walter; grandchildren, Todd Horton, Brian Phillips, Danielle James and Dusty Morris; brother, Marshall Rathbun, Jr. and wife, Jacque; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Kerit Patel and to The Grace Home for all the care and loving support they have given to Shorty and her family.
