A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Arlie Franklin Barton, age 88, at a date to be announced.
Mr. Barton was born January 24, 1938, in Backbone Ridge, VA, to Kermit and Mazie Wood Barton. He entered into rest at his residence on September 30, 2026, in Homer, LA. Mr. Barton served the United States in the US Army. He worked as an industrial spray painter for heavy equipment in Dayton, OH. Mr. Barton was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie or any other place to wet a hook. He also enjoyed hunting deer and squirrel. Mr. Barton would share what he caught or hunted. He was well known and appreciated through-out the community. Mr. Barton will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Aaron Barton; and four brothers, Sammy Barton, Tivis Barton, Cecil Barton and Roberto Barton.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Tonna Walker Barton; two sons, Scott Barton and Franklin Barton; daughter, Lisa Haddick several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Barton’s family would like to express their gratitude to Bristol Hospice along with many family and friends who helped during his final days.
