Ariel James Carter

A funeral service for Ariel James Carter, 47, will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Bill Franks.

Ariel James Carter had a rare and beautiful gift; he lived life with music, kindness, and an ability to bring joy wherever he went. A truly talented musician, his passion for music was woven into everything he did, bringing energy, emotion, and creativity into the lives of those who had the privilege of hearing him play.

His talents extended beyond music—he was a gifted impressionist, someone who could make people laugh with his incredible ability to mimic voices and expressions. Ariel had a way of making any moment lighter, any gathering more fun, and any conversation more engaging.

A proud graduate with an associate degree in telecommunications and electronics, he was dedicated to his work at South Gateway Tires, where his colleagues not only respected his skills but truly loved him. He was personable, approachable, and a true problem solver, someone who could always find a solution and bring a sense of calm to any situation.

Beyond his talents and his career, Ariel’s heart belonged to his dogs, who were not just pets but family. His kindness, warmth, and deep love for both people and animals made him someone whose presence could never be replaced.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Phoebe Leighton of Oregon; brothers, Steven Carter of Boise, and Kenneth Carter of Oregon; aunt, Rosalie Shockley of Benton, Louisiana; cousins, Wayne Shockley of Prattville, Alabama, and Daniel Shockley of Ruston, Louisiana along with five nephews and four nieces.

Honoring Ariel as pallbearers will be Shon Diggers, Jeff Johnson, Nathan Paul, Jerome Morgan, Tony Lafitte, and Derrick Lars.
