A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony “Tony” Tuminello, 82, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 522 East Flournoy Lucas Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Richard Norsworthy and Deacon Michael Straub.
Tony was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 15, 1940 to Angelo and Elizabeth Tuminello and passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Tony graduated Louisiana State University-Alexandria in 1964 and received his CLU from Bryn Mawr College. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter and worked for Met Life and Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company, where he retired as the Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer in 2010 after 38 years of service. Anybody that knew Tony, knew his love for the game of golf and how he loved telling his “Boudreaux and Thibodeaux” jokes. Above all, he loved his wife, Linda, and they were married for 59 years. He loved his family, his work family at Kilpatrick, his friends and his dog Gracie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Sybil and Bennett Gremillion. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Gremillion Tuminello; daughter, Maria Layton; sons, Mark Tuminello and wife, Lecy and Daryl Tuminello and partner, Baylor Boyd; grandsons, Carl “CJ” Layton and Cole Tuminello; sisters, Elizabeth Meullar and Sally Messenger; brother, Joseph Tuminello; brother-in-law, Donald Coco and wife, Elise and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring Tony as pallbearers will be Gregory Coco, Dr. Jeffrey Coco, Richard Gust, John Hensarling, Don Lindsey and Bill McKellar.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Intensive Specialty Hospital, especially to Dillon Hart, NP.
