Andrew Fenton

Our Earthly Angel, Andrew "Drew" Bracton Fenton, 26, gained his heavenly wings Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Drew was born September 16, 1995 in Shreveport, Louisiana to blessed parents Shawn and Leann Fenton, joining big brother, Will Fenton. He graduated from Loyola College Prep and Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Kinesiology. He was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served as scholarship chairman to his fellow brothers. Drew was also a Tech Student Recruiter and served as class representative for 4 years in the Kinesiology Fraternity. Along with scholastic and service achievements, Drew loved fishing, hunting, playing pool, riding horses, and golf where he "contributed" a club to almost every course! He also loved showing dogs with his "mumsie". The most important attribute about Drew was his passion for helping others in anyway possible. He always had the biggest smile and the best hugs. He looked for opportunities to make someone's life a little easier by encouragement and praise. He often gave of himself to others without expectation and was a gift to this world. The countless stories from his many friends of how his caring, generous heart impacted their lives has been of great comfort to his family during the last few days. Drew is survived by his parents; his brother and best friend, Will Fenton and (fiancé Olivia Kuehnemund); maternal grandparents, Carol and Bill Reyenga; paternal grandmother, Eulalee Sawyer; and God sent brothers, Jesh Jesty and Jake Jesty; uncles, Barry Reyenga (Shannon), Ray Fenton (Maureen), Jim Fenton, Tom Miles, and Kenny Fenton (Lori); aunts, Alice Cabel, Ananda Johnson (Larry), and Christy Scott; cousins, Alexandria Morvan (Matt), Micah Fenton (Indy), Andrea Robbins (Brandon), Elizabeth Sooby, John Fenton, Chris Fenton, Josh Cabel (Arolilja), Sarah Provan (Ben), Madison Fenton (Alyssa), Amber Ennis (Zach), Alyssa Scott (Luke), Genna Thibodeaux, Austin Guthrie (Holly), Maddie Beitz (Dave), Lindsey Loyd (John), and Carter Fenton; and many many friends. Drew is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Fenton; aunts, Kathy Miles and Ginny Guthrie; and cousin, Jonathon Thibodeaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, 939 Jordan Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jerry Daigle. A reception will follow the service, where family and friends are invited to share stories about Drew. Honoring Drew as pallbearers will be John Fenton, Alyssa Scott, Jesh Jesty, Jake Jesty, Brad Austin, Conrad Langston, Blake Lawrence, and Martin Milner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Cathedral of St. John Berchmans Catholic School, 947 Jordan St., Shreveport, LA 71101, Loyola College Prep, 921 Jordan St., Shreveport, LA 71101 or the Kappa Sigma Epsilon Gamma Chapter at Louisiana Tech University.
"Give my sight to a man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or love in the eyes of a woman. Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain. Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something let it be my faults, my weaknesses, and all prejudices against my fellow man. Give my soul to God. If by chance you wish to remember me- do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever." -Robert N. Test
