Andrew “Andy” Paul Digilormo, a genuine and caring soul whose laughter and loyalty touched countless lives, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the age of 44. He was born on September 25, 1980, to Randy Wilson and Theresa Hammontree in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Andy was known for his unwavering kindness, quick wit, and the rare gift of making others feel truly seen and supported.
A proud graduate of Loyola College Prep, Andy played varsity baseball and carried his love for the game throughout his life, especially as a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. He continued his education at Louisiana Tech University, where he was a member of the SAE Fraternity and formed lifelong friendships rooted in camaraderie and faith.
Andy’s spiritual life was a cornerstone of who he was. A devout Christian and follower of Christ, he served his church with humility and joy, participating in men’s retreats and offering his voice as a church lecturer during Mass. His favorite book, The Bible, was both a source of wisdom and a reflection of his deep devotion.
He was a lifelong learner, often found immersed in podcasts or the pages of a new book. His intellect was matched only by his compassion, especially for animals. His beloved cats, Sophia and Mr. Biscuits, were cherished companions who brought him endless joy.
To his family and friends, Andy was an incredible son, brother, uncle, and confidant. He stood by others in their hardest moments and could lift spirits with a single joke or smile. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and faith, a life lived with purpose and heart.
Left to cherish Andy’s memory are his father, Anthony Digilormo; his mother, Theresa Hammontree, and her husband, Steve Hammontree; and his biological father, Randy Wilson. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Digilormo; sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Digilormo; nephew, Patrick Digilormo; and niece, Emma Digilormo.
Honoring Andy as pallbearers will be Anthony Digilormo, Patrick Digilormo, John Digilormo, Steve Hammontree, Paul Caplis, Cade Doyal, Michael Ostendorff, and Dylan Nix.
