Andrea Denise Ballard

A “Celebration of Life” Service for Andrea “Andy” Denise Fields Ballard, 52, will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Andrea was born on December 30, 1970 to Barbara Jean Bumgardner and William “Curtis” Fields in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Shreveport.

Andrea was a resident of Waskom, Texas where she was a homemaker. She attended Coushatta High, Campti High, and BPCC in the school of Culinary Arts. She loved cooking for anyone, for any occasion. She loved her daughter, Tabatha and her fur babies. She was found frequently working in her garden and listening to her windchimes. She was her happiest spending time with family and was incredibly close to her stepmother, Joy.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Bumgardner and stepfather, Jim Bumgardner; maternal grandmother, Audrey Martin Simpson; paternal grandmother, Helen Joyce Hensley Fields; and paternal grandfather, William Walker Fields. Left to cherish her memory is her partner, Troy Shanklin; daughter, Tabatha Ballard; father, William “Curtis” Fields; stepmother, Joy Louise Fields; brothers, Jack Fields and wife, Intha, and Vince Fields; sisters, Fran Thompson and husband, Jason, and Starla Beck and husband, Barry; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Andrea will be terribly missed, but the family will forever love and cherish her memory.
