Amanda Lane Tucker was born in Houston, Texas on October 19, 1976, and went home to be with her Lord on March 19, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of this remarkable woman, taken far too soon. She was a force of nature, fiercely loyal, unapologetically bold, and deeply loving. To know her was to experience a rare kind of authenticity. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and loved her people with a fire that never wavered.
Amanda loved the Lord and carried a spirit that was both strong and untamed. She was fearless in the face of life’s challenges, never one to back down when it came to protecting those she loved. Beneath her tough exterior lived a heart full of compassion, humor, and unwavering devotion. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and fiercely defended.
She found joy in life’s simple but meaningful moments. She loved to cook, filling her home with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of meals made with love. She cherished sunny days spent on the beach with her feet in the sand and peaceful afternoons by the lake, where she could relax and unwind with her family. One of her greatest joys was time spent with her husband, especially their date nights, where they enjoyed trying new restaurants and making memories together.
Above all, she was a devoted mother. She loved her son, Marshall Tucker, and her daughter, Maddie Tucker, with everything she had. They were her heart, her pride, and her greatest accomplishments. She was loved by many, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing her path. Her laughter was unforgettable, her honesty refreshing, and her loyalty unmatched. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, and love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She attended Louisiana State University Shreveport, and Bossier Parish Community College and had a lengthy career as a Certified Paralegal working in the Shreveport / Bossier legal community for more than 25 years. She was an employee at the Law Offices of Jarred W. Franklin for many years until her health prevented her from continuing.
She found joy in simple pleasures—shopping with friends, reading stories that moved her, preparing meals with love, exploring the water by boat, and unwinding on the beach.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hoyle Thomas and Jennie Ruth McWhiney; Charley and Mamie Sue Statham, and Aunt Mary Rose. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, David Tucker; her children, Marshall Tucker and Maddie Tucker; her parents, Charles and Dorothy Statham; her sister, Lindsay Grigsby; her in-laws, Alvin Tucker and Chinta Wilson; her sister-in-law and husband, Christina and Jordan Hoek; her niece and nephews, Landry Viola, Grayson Grigsby, Garner Grigsby and Landon Hoek; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Though her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
REST IN PEACE AUNT MANN MANN
