It is with great sadness that the family of Amanda Leigh (Mandy) Pinder announces her passing on August 7, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana, with Rev. David Permenter officiating.
Mandy was born on November 15, 1977, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Dennis (Denny) and Melba Pinder.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, daughters, Anna and Abby, sisters, Lana and Rebecca, brother, Scotty and nieces and nephews. Mandy was a 1996 graduate of Mansfield High School and attended NSU.
Mandy finally succumbed to the ravages of Glioblastoma after six years long struggle; all the while being selflessly cared for by her loving and devoted mother.
A special thanks goes to all of Mandy’s caregivers, especially to Dr. Bharat Guthikonda, Dr. Neelima Chintapalli, Dr. Meghan Harris, nurse, Lisa, and the entire staff of Ochsner Neuroscience ICU. Also, many words of appreciation go out to the Southern Hills Nursing Center and Amedisys Hospice where Shondale, Renata, Christy, Bettye, and Pastor Larry Laffitte gave Mandy undying love and attention to her needs during her final days.
"Oh that I had the wings like a dove! For then would I fly away, and be at rest." (Psalms 55:6)
Now you, dear sweet Mandy, have flown away into the everlasting arms of a loving Savior, and are truly at rest.
