Alma Ellise Wissing

Greenwood, LA - Alma Ellise Wissing age 83, passed away on December 28, 2019 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ms. Wissing was born to Tom Ellis and Emma Lee Pease Dunn on April 29, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was active in the music program at Greenwood United Methodist Church, where she played the piano since she was a child. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going out to eat. She loved animals and was willing to help them when she could. Ms. Wissing was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wissing; brother, Larry Dunn; and granddaughter, Amber Huffman Watt. She is survived by children, Cindi Huffman and husband Charles, David Phillips and wife Keri, Alan Phillips; grandchildren, Jeremiah Phillips and wife Melissa, Aaron Huffman and wife Brittany, Justin Phillips and wife Ashely, Rebekah Robinson and husband Matt, Ethan Phillips; great grandchildren, Anna and Emma Watt, Izaiah Faust, Ian Floirence, Noah, Jarred and Elora Phillips, Katie and Emma Harris. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery, 9144 Greenwood Cemetery Rd Greenwood, LA. Reverend Todd Fee will be officiating the service.
