Faye was born on July 5, 1938, in Bokchito, Oklahoma, to Thomas Wilson and Manilla Reed Wilson. After relocation from Blanchard, Louisiana, she made Benton her home since 1997. For many years, she faithfully attended North Shreve Baptist Church and Red River Baptist Church, finding great purpose and comfort in her faith and the time she devoted to church life.
Faye met George, the love of her life, on a blind date to a drive-in movie in October 1956. They were married on December 5, 1957, in Bokchito, Oklahoma. Together, they raised four children: Stanley, Don, Paula, and Philip. They were happily married for 68 years.
Faye was a very devoted mother and housewife. She also found great joy in aviculture, raising and showing exotic bird breeds throughout Louisiana. She was a member of the Ark-La-Tex Caged Bird Club for many years as “Faye’s Feathers.”
