Allie Loree Rachal Clemons

Allie Loree Rachal Clemons, 84, passed away August 26, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Loree as she was known enjoyed the simple things in life as she grew older. She enjoyed working with flowers, feeding and watching birds. Even when confined to a bed she had bird feeders placed outside her window where she could watch. She operated a home daycare for over 30 years, countless young adults can recall their early childhood days at Mawmaw’s.

A 1956 graduate of Natchitoches, LA, she is preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Allie Rachal, husband, John Wesley (J.W.) Clemons, Jr, and son J. Shane Clemons, sisters, Wilma Jean Harrell, Luella Vercher, Molly Stewart, and brother Henry A. Rachal.

She is survived by daughters, Jennifer C. Day (Rick), Janette C. Dollar (Rod), son Jeffrey E. Clemons, and grandchildren, Nicole Cox (Van), Garrett Day (Brittany), Haley Perryman (Stan), Pepper Dollar, and Hunter Clemons (Emily), brother-in-law, Buddy Clemons (Marjorie), great-grandchildren, Karlie, Stance, Tanner, Marley Kate, Lexie, Landry, Hayden, and one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Fincher Road in Minden, LA on Tuesday August 30, 2022. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m., visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, LA.

Pallbearers will be Rick Day, Garrett Day, Van Cox, Hunter Clemons, Stan Perryman, and Kerry Ellington.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Dollar, Dan Rachal, Rodney Vercher, Michael Vercher, Charles Clemons, and the many children she had a hand in raising.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Paul Catholic Church or a charity of donor’s choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Passages Hospice, Jessi McCain, Jasmine Howard, and Melba. Also, our caregivers for their dedicated care and love, Ina Warren, Stephanie Thomas, and Bashie Bilton.
