Allen Dwight Bounds

Funeral services for Allen Dwight Bounds, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Pastor Bill Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the funeral home. Dwight was born December 14, 1938 in Hosston, LA to Arthur and Connie Bounds and went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He worked at GE for over 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and riding Harley Davidsons. He loved his family and his rabbit. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou Bounds; and sons, Allen Bounds, Jr., Jeff Bounds, and Scott Bounds. Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Jarvus Bounds; sister, Lagail Lynch; grandson, Coty Bounds and fiancé Bailey Ford; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Dwight as pallbearers will be Jonathon Bennett, Tracy Bennett, Thomas Parker, Jimmy Strickland, Brandon Atkins, and Phillip Kappelman. Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Jones. The family would like to give a special thanks to the 3^rd floor nurses at Christus Schumpert.
