Allan Lee "Pete" Petty

Funeral services for Allan Lee “Pete” Petty, 87, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 206 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastors Otis Moore and Jerry Fletcher.

Pete was born on December 6, 1938 in Monroe, Louisiana to Harper H. and Aline Petty and passed away September 17, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He was a graduate of Neville High School where he played trumpet in the band. He married Carolyn Fletcher in 1962 in Monroe, Louisiana and had three children. He enjoyed singing in church, visiting with friends and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harry Petty.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Petty; daughters, Sharron Freeman and husband, Dennis and Katherine Petty; son, Gary Petty and wife, Traci; eight grandchildren, Chris Petty, Regan Christensen, Aubree Morgan, Ty Petty, Clay Petty, Dustin Freeman, Dalen Freeman, Devin Freeman; eleven great-grandchildren, Alivia Morgan, Evan Morgan, Oliver Morgan, Ivy Morgan, Ayden Christensen, Oaklyn Christensen, Brooklyn Christensen, McKenzie Petty, Sutton Petty, Riley Petty and Daisy Freeman and sisters, Mary Peterman and Carol Ann Harris and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
