A graveside service honoring the life of Alice Amanda Durand will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021 at Fellowship Methodist Cemetery in Elmer, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Rusty Durand. A gathering will be held immediately after the service at the Fellowship Methodist Church. A visitation with the family will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Alice Amanda Durand was born February 2, 1958 in Pasadena, Texas to Clarence and Myrtle Durand passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Alice loved her family and especially her grandchildren with all her heart. She was known to many as "Mama Alice" and "Goofy Nana" and was one of those people who never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Earl Durand; Ronny Adams. Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Charles Bowling of Blanchard, LA; children, Ann Dykes and husband, Jeff of Blanchard, LA, Shana Cubley and husband, Joel of Leesville, LA, Amber Adams of Diana, TX, and Jennifer Hartsell and husband, Ryan of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Kendall Dykes of Blanchard, LA, Bailey Leach and husband, Dalton of Many, LA, Paige Stephenson and Taylor Bowling both of Leesville, LA, Jessa Allen, Justice Arnold and Jacie Arnold all of Diana, TX; sister, Betty Loyd and husband, Carl "Jr." of Elmer, LA; brother, C.A. Durand and wife, Sherry of Elmer, LA; and numerous loved ones, nieces, nephews and extended family. Honoring Alice as pallbearers will be Jr. Loyd, Danny Durand, Kevin Ray, Wayne Loyd, Kenny Gardner, and Stephen Guidry. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Joel Cubley. The family suggests any memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
