Al J. Edmunds

A graveside service for Al J. Edmunds, 92, will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held prior at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tommy Patton. Al was born October 14, 1929 in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to George T. Edmunds and Henrietta LaCroix Edmunds, and passed away on March 12,2022 in Bossier City, Louisiana. Al retired from Tri State Oil Tool as a machinist. He had many hobbies that included gardening, fishing, and anything that involved being outside. He loved to sit on his porch and drink coffee while talking to his neighbors. He loved his Sunday School Class at Cypress Baptist Church and the many friends he made throughout his life along with his doggy friend Maggie. He was married to his childhood sweetheart for 71 years Jo Ann Edmunds. Al is going to be greatly missed by all. Al is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jo Ann Edmunds; along with 10 siblings. He is survived by his children, Randy Edmunds and wife, Beth, Mike Edmunds and wife, Debbie, Steve Edmunds and wife, Karen; 6 grandchildren; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a thank you to Cypress Point Nursing Home, with a special thank you to Stephanie, Nita and Kavasha at Cypress Point Nursing Home for making his stay so enjoyable. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials may be made to Cypress Baptist Church Building Fund, 4701 Palmetto Rd, Benton, LA 71006.
