A funeral service to celebrate the life of Aiden “Bubs” Castleman will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Andy Bond.

With hearts forever changed, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Aiden “Bubs” Castleman, who entered the arms of Jesus on July 15, 2026.

Born on April 27, 2007, in Bossier City, Louisiana, Bubs was a light in this world from the very beginning. Though he faced extraordinary medical challenges throughout his life, they never defined him. His infectious smile, unmistakable laugh, expressive personality, and the joy he brought to everyone around him spoke louder than any diagnosis ever could. He had a way of making people slow down, celebrate the smallest victories, and love without limits.

If you ever met Bubs, you never forgot him. Though he could not speak with words, he had an extraordinary way of communicating joy, determination, humor, and unconditional love. His bright eyes, contagious grin, and happy sounds could light up any room.

Bubs loved cartoons, music, laughter, and all things fun. He loved being surrounded by his people, soaking in every adventure, every celebration, and every moment together. Whether cheering on motocross weekends, listening to music, or simply sharing his unmistakable smile, Bubs had a remarkable way of making ordinary moments unforgettable.

Home was wherever Bubs’ people were. Whether gathered for movie nights, celebrating motocross weekends, singing together, or simply spending a quiet evening as a family, the greatest gift you could give Bubs was your presence—and he returned that gift with a smile that made everyone feel loved.

One of Bubs’ most faithful companions was his beloved puppy, Snowy. Every morning, Snowy waited faithfully outside his bedroom door for him to wake up and spent each day faithfully by his side, never wanting to be far from his best friend.

More than anything, Bubs knew he was deeply loved. Every smile, every laugh, every milestone, and every ordinary day with him was a gift.

Bubs was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Mary and Danny Lester; his paternal great-grandfather, James “Pops” Upchurch; and his uncle, Sean Thomas “ST” Castleman.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Tiffany; his loving father and best friend, Jacob “Jake”; and his beloved little sister, Ella.

He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Machel “Shelly” and Michael Carr; his aunts, Monica Loughmiller and her husband, Josh, and Alicia Logue and her husband, Ben; and his dearly loved cousins, Landry, Benjamin “Gage,” Liam, and Michael “Kase.”

On his father’s side, he is survived by his grandmother, Gloria Castleman; his uncles, Jason Castleman and his wife, Ashley, John “Bo” Castleman and his wife, Taylor, Christopher “Hank” Castleman, and Casey Castleman; and the cousins he adored, Taylor, Tyler, Jordon, Brantley, Courtney, Drew, and Reid.

Bubs was also cherished by a large extended family of great-aunts, great-uncles, second cousins, and many other relatives. Their love, prayers, visits, encouragement, and unwavering support surrounded him throughout his life and were a constant reminder that Bubs was deeply treasured by generations of family.

Though she was his little sister, the bond Bubs shared with Ella was one of God’s most beautiful gifts. Ella loved her Bubba with her whole heart. She became one of his strongest voices, celebrated every milestone, patiently adapted to a life shaped by hospital stays and therapies, and quietly made sacrifices without complaint. The compassion, patience, empathy, and servant’s heart that define Ella today are part of Bubs’ legacy.

Bubs also leaves behind the family he was blessed to choose—and who chose him: honorary Mama, De; honorary Aunt, Kobi; honorary Aunt, Muffin and Uncle, Keith and honorary cousin, Taylor; honorary Uncle, Jamie “JB” Barnette and his wife, Whitney; the Johnson family—Brittany, Tony, Aspyn, Kade, and their extended family; Andy Bond and the entire Bond family; his PrimeSTAR family; his motocross family; and the countless friends, caregivers, therapists, nurses, physicians, and everyone whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

Throughout his life, Bubs was surrounded by extraordinary people who loved and cared for him as their own. A special acknowledgment is given to his grandmother, Machel “Shelly” Carr, and Loree Castleman, whose faithful care and devotion helped shape so many of his early years, and to Aunt Danyelle, who lovingly continued that care in later years. Together with many family members, caregivers, and dear friends, they ensured Bubs was always surrounded by comfort, dignity, joy, and unwavering love.

Anyone who knew Bubs knew he was never anything less than photo-ready. Thanks to his daddy, he was always sporting a fresh fade, perfectly styled hair, and looking as handsome as ever.

Although our hearts are broken beyond words, we find peace in knowing Bubs is whole, healed, and running freely in the presence of his Savior.

If a life is measured by the number of hearts it changes, then Bubs lived one of the most extraordinary lives imaginable. Through him, hearts were softened, faith was strengthened, and countless people learned what unconditional love truly looks like.

To our sweet Bubs: Thank you for teaching us how to love without limits. We would choose you, love you, fight for you, celebrate you, and walk this journey with you a million times over. Being your mommy, daddy, and little sister was the greatest privilege of our lives.

Until we meet again, our sweet Bubs, you will forever remain the heartbeat of our family. There will never be another you. Forever our Bubs. Forever our greatest blessing. Forever in our hearts.

Honoring Bubs as pallbearers will be Jacob “Jake” Castleman, Andy Bond, Jason Castleman, Jamie “JB” Barnette, Taylor Wicker, and Drew Bond.

For nearly every day of Bubs’ life, his daddy carried him wherever he needed to go. It was one of the quiet acts of love that defined their bond. As one final expression of that unwavering devotion, Jake considers it the greatest honor to help carry his precious son home.

The family would like to extend the utmost gratitude to Gayle as well as the rest of the staff in Dr. Anthony Stuart’s office. We would also like to acknowledge Aiden’s Pediatric Neurologist, Dr. Aristoteles Angel Pena-Miches, and the wonderful, diligent care he provided our precious Bubs over the last few years. Thank you all so very much for always being there to love on our sweet boy.
