Abe "Buster" Lewis Elston

Funeral services for Abe "Buster" Lewis Elson, 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Open Range Fellowship Church in Greenwood, LA with Brother Dennis Aaron. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside. Buster was born March 30, 1943 in El Paso, TX and raised by his loving parents, William Word Elston and Leona Johns Elston. He went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2019. He was a longtime diesel mechanic. He was well known at the Longwood General Store. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Buster was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his ex-wife, Pallie Elston; sons, Doug Elston and wife Mona and Dan Elston and wife Karrie; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tom Ware, Mark Chambless, Randy Wellborn, Jon Moak, Greg Carney, Derrick Tucker, Russell Bryan, and Noel Whatley. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Hutson, Jim Williams, Tinker Tucker, and Winston Mays.
