Prentice Don Parker 

SHREVEPORT, LA-Funeral services for Prentice Don Parker, 70, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Billy Crosby. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday February 5, 2012 at the funeral home.

    Don was born on July 5, 1941 and passed away on February 2, 2012. He was a resident of Shreveport and was employed at Century Link as an administrator. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

    His parents, Prentice and Dorothy Parker, precede him in death. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Parker; sons, Brian Prentice Parker and Kevin R. Landers; daughters, Jennifer Kay Parker Coats and husband, Dwain, Barbara Karen Burke and husband, Monte and Kelly Jean Gibson; grandchildren, Adam Coats, Amanda and Nick Langford, Ashley Coats, Robert Burke, Dylan Landers, Jacob Burke, BayLee Parker, KayLee Gibson, Jenna Burke, NataLee Gibson and Will Gibson; great-granddaughter, Addison Langford; sister, Kay Gautreaux.

    Pallbearers will be Sammy Lipsey, Bobby Horton, Jerry Gilbert, Adam Coats, Teto Reeves, Denis Hyams.
